Products : Overview

FreeDesign™, Inc.'s revolution in 3D design form, function, flexibility and speed offers the design and engineering world the first "free hand" CAD design technology. FreeDimension's™ proprietary, patented architecture (FDMA) frees designers to create and innovate as if they were using pencil and paper. It is the world's easiest and most innovative 3D surfacing tool on the market today.
FreeDimension™ provides designers FREEDOM in:
FORM
FreeDimension™ permits designers to easily incorporate an infinite number of CAD curves in the design process. Users can create three dimensional models simply by manipulating boundary curves. It departs from NURBS CAD surfacing and instead employs FDMA's flexible technique of curve-creation called "N-Sided" Surfacing. With feature curve modeling, the designer can start with the feature curves of an object and the surfaces automatically and intuitively fill the intervening surfaces, regardless of the number of sides. Design focus shifts from creating patches to creating curves. FreeDimension™ outputs design into precise surfaces from basic to Class A.
FUNCTION
FreeDimension™ is easier and more intuitive to use with the creation of an Adobe Illustrator-like interface and easily understood menus and commands. The patented FDMA technology gives designers simple tools to create organic looking models where they can simply "grab and drag" one or more of the bounding curves on a model to reshape it. Users can focus on design rather than engineering. FDMA is designed to easily interface with other CAD software and new methodologies support the creation of Class A/G2 surface modeling.
FLEXIBILITY & SPEED:
FDMA enables users to create, modify and manipulate complete 3D models in a fraction of the time required with other 3D applications. It reduces the time required to produce working and finished models, the cost of each design and the time needed to review and evaluate more designs, without sacrificing detail. The efficient mathematics of FDMA produces easily transferable data files, opening the door for greater cross collaboration.
